OUR MISSION

Established in 2014, The Jeff Cohen Charitable Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit devoted to making a positive difference in Plymouth and the surrounding South Shore communities. Our primary focus is to raise funds for those who need it most. Whether it be that they need financial support from suffering a significant loss,  providing financial relief to someone as they go through their cancer treatments, or financially supporting the hardships of a life-saving surgical procedure. We constantly seek new donors and sponsors to get involved with the JCCF by helping us make a difference in our community!

About JCC

For over two decades, the annual Halloween parties organized by the JCC Foundation have become a significant community event. What started as a single Halloween benefit has transformed into a series of yearly fundraising activities. This expansion reflects the JCC Foundation's continuous commitment, alongside the community's, to give back and support those in need. Each event, including the Halloween Benefits, aims to raise funds, promote community spirit, and encourage ongoing participation and collaboration among residents. The response has been overwhelmingly positive, demonstrating how dedicated volunteers and generous sponsors can create a lasting impact by coming together for various causes throughout the year.

The tireless efforts of volunteers at the JCC have been instrumental in this journey. Their dedication ensures the events run smoothly each year, welcoming families and friends to a fun night while fostering camaraderie and support. Our sponsors and volunteers have been integral to our success, providing the resources and workforce needed to make these events memorable. The funds raised through these events have made a real difference, supporting various local charities and families in need.

Our Journey​

The Jeff Cohen Charitable Foundation (JCC) began its journey in 2001 with a commitment to supporting the families of fallen firefighters. That year, the Halloween Party evolved into a Halloween Benefit, raising $1,000. Each subsequent year has seen this amount grow—most recently reaching $62,000 in 2022. While Jeff was already actively involved in community initiatives, this event marked a significant step forward in strengthening community ties.

In the same spirit, the Boys and Girls Club of Plymouth launched its "Annual Valentine's Ball" in 2001, raising $12,000 in its inaugural year through the dedicated efforts of volunteers. Over seven years, this event collectively raised over $250,000, showcasing what can be achieved when communities unite for a cause.

In 2005, The South Shore Community Action Council recognized the foundation's efforts, and Jeff was honored with a citation from the Massachusetts Senate, Congress, and House of Representatives for his charitable work. This recognition reflects Jeff's commitment and the incredible team of volunteers and sponsors whose collective efforts make these initiatives possible. Coralee Burke, of "To The Max Events," has played a pivotal role as co-chair for many events, exemplifying the spirit of collaboration that drives the foundation's success.

The JCC has built strong partnerships with local organizations, including the Boys & Girls Club, the Plymouth YMCA, and Special Olympics, all aimed to impact the community positively. Jeff, a dedicated member of the Rotary Club of Plymouth for over 20 years, serves as Vice President, further contributing to local service efforts. Outside his charitable work, Jeff enjoys photography, reading, and traveling. He cherishes his role as a father to Chelsey Cohen, the Marketing Director of One Stop, and being a loving dog owner to Lola. With the community's support, the JCC strives for meaningful change and progress.
